Steva Bowers is the owner of Novel Designs. Steva and her family (Kraig, Mallory & Brayden) also operate a club lamb business, Bowers Club Lambs, on a small farm outside of Mentone, Indiana.
Steva grew up on a farm in southwest Wisconsin where her passion for livestock was ignited at an early age. While growing up she devoted herself to sheep and cattle projects and exhibited at the Wisconsin State Fair as well as several national shows across the nation. Hard work and dedication allowed her to be successful in exhibiting livestock. Some memorable accomplishments include Reserve Grand Champion at the 2005 Wisconsin State Fair, Reserve Champion Hampshire at the 2006 NAILE, as well as the Premier Exhibitor at the National Western Stock Show. This passion would lead to pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University.
While in college, Steva exemplified abilities as a leader in the Block & Bridle Club from planning every aspect of a sheep show to designing the club’s annual yearbook. These activities attracted a quick interest to adding a second Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business. Enthusiasm for agriculture and marketing landed her a marketing internship for Case-New Holland, marketing equipment on a large-scale basis. Creating company newsletters, event promotions, and daily communications with dealers across the country are some of the tasks Steva provided for this company. In 2008, Steva launched Novel Designs to provide top-level marketing to livestock producers. Within a year, Novel Designs took off and became Steva's full-time job and the rest is history!
